Gorgeously integrated already, with loads of blackberry and boysenberry fruit infused with black tea and dark wood spice accents, carried by charcoal and warm earth notes. The elements sail through a large-scale finish that has remarkable cut for a wine of this size.—J.M.

Château La Fleur-Pétrus
This historic château is owned by the Jean-Pierre Moueix family. Planted amongst the finest terroirs in all of Pomerol, Château La Fleur-Pétrus has been a model of consistency for over three decades. During the ‘90s and the first decade of the 21st century, the estate was expanded with the addition of a few precious parcels from Pomerol’s central plateau. This evolution was accompanied by the restoration of an elegant country house, which now houses the production facilities at the heart of Pomerol. Today, Château La Fleur-Pétrus produces one of the most elegant, smooth and refined Pomerols in all of Bordeaux. The Grand Vin is a medium-bodied Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend that with several years of cellaring will become very fine, complex and extraordinarily long-lived.
