Sattes Granat-Rubin. Verrücktes Maulbeerenbouquet, extrem vielschichtig mit feinen Gewürze, Bastholz, Brotkruste und einem Hauch Kokos. Im Gaumen so fein und delikat, dass er im ersten Ansatz fast etwas leicht wirkt, tänzelt schmeichelnd und süss über die Zunge und endet mit einem fast parfümierten Johannisbeerentouch. Kann noch zulegen. (18/20). 08: Sattes Granat-Rubin, dicht in der Mitte. Traumhaftes Bouquet, fein malzige Süsse, zeigt eine gewisse Sangiovese- Affinität, reife Pflaumen, helle Hölzer und Zedernnoten. Im Gaumen mit viel Konzentration gebündelte Textur, eine tolle pflaumige Süsse im Innern zweigend und mit einem Hauch Kokos, Pralinen und Black Currant endend. Hat seit der Prieurprobe zugelegt und gehört, nach dem 1998er zu den ganz grossen Jahrgängen. beginnen (2014 - 2030)

A brick house, with a strong ganache, charcoal and roasted alder spine that remains the dominant feature for now, though there's ample black currant, plum and raspberry fruit in reserve. Offers a muscular yet racy finish, thanks to a beautiful graphite note that drives through. Abundant sweet cherry and truffle, new saddle leather and spice box notes are present in this medium to full-bodied, supple-textured, silky Pomerol. It is less concentrated than some of the big boys such as Gazin, Le Gay, L’Evangile and Certan de May, but it is an elegant, finesse style of wine to drink over the next 10-15 years
