Chevalier Montrachet 2018 150cl

The 2018 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has a very classy bouquet, very focused and detailed with crushed rocks and yellow flowers gently unfolding in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with a peppery opening. Great depth and intensity here as it fans out gloriously towards the finish, clearly a sophisticated Chevalier with a very persistent aftertaste. Maybe even better than I estimated from barrel.

Lime blossom, peach, pear and toasty oak flavors are the highlights of this full-bodied white. A backbone of vivid acidity keeps it well-defined and drives the long finish. It's classy and refined, with an aftertaste of lime, mineral and spice revealing its future promise. Best from 2023 through 2032. 150 cases made, 40 cases imported.
