Mtvaris Kotsna - Moon Kiss (Amphora - Red) 2020 75cl

Eclipse Winery is located in the heart of the famous wine-growing region of Georgia: the Alazani Valley, in Kakheti. 
The total vineyard area is 35 hectares on 4 plots near Nekresi, Sanavardo, Kuchatani and the Bursa river.
Georgia is one of the oldest wine producing countries in the world with more than 8000 years of Viticulture, worlwide known also for the use of big Terracotta Amphoras called "Qvevri" for long maceration and ageing process. 
The two premium wines of Eclipse Winery are Mzis Kotsna (White) and Mtvaris Kotsna (Red). Mzis Kotsna is made from 100% "Kisi" grapes. Fermentation occurs in amphora with six months of skin contact. After fermentation, the wine is aged for twelve months in French oak barrels. The wine is amber in color. Mzis Kotsna exhibits aromas of ripe yellow fruits, vanilla, and spices. It is characterized by velvety tannins, and a balanced harmonious taste. 
Mtvaris Kotsna, instead, is produced from 100% "Saperavi" grapes. 
Fermentation occurs in amphora with six months of skin contact. Following the fermentation, the wine is aged for twelve months in French oak barrels. This wine is a deep ruby color, exuding aromas of cherry, blackberries, and dark chocolate. It is renowned for its full-bodied, balanced acidity, and harmonious flavor profile.
