Offers juicy currant, raspberry and bitter cherry fruit, backed by lively, brambly tannins and a bolt of charcoal at the end. A touch chunky now, but the élevage should tame that.—J.M.

Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2015 Vrai Canon Bouché has an earthy/meaty nose with dried berries and baked plums notes plus a waft of tapenade. The medium to full-bodied palate is firm and chewy with restrained fruit and a fresh finish.
