17/20 vorbei

Sweet tobacco, with forest floor and light fruit character. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a medium finish. Slightly hollow center palate.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Drink now. –JS .

The 1996 Petit-Village exhibits an intriguing, intense bouquet of smoked herbs, grilled meats, and cherry jam. In the mouth, black currants make an appearance, along with lavish quantities of wood. Medium-bodied with low acidity, this sexy, accessible, luscious, hedonistic Pomerol will drink well between now and 2007.
