17 Rene Gabriel
17/20 2006 – 2018

Subtle red, with berry, raspberry and fresh herb aromas. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long finish. Silky red. Score range: 89-91 –JS
89 Robert Parker
This property appears to be emerging from a long, disappointing period. The 16-acre vineyard, ideally situated between Trotanoy and Latour a Pomerol, is planted in sandy/gravel soils with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. A deep plum/purple color is accompanied by a perfume of sweet figs, mincemeat, spice box, and cherry cola. Nicely textured and fleshy, with low acidity, soft tannin, and a plump, heady finish, it should drink well for 10-12 years.

Château Feytit-Clinet
A quiet, discreet 6-hectare estate that is located close to Clinet, Latour à Pomerol and Clos L'Eglise, Château Feytit-Clinet is a family owned property that experienced a re-birth in recent times. The earliest recorded history dates from 1825, when it was owned by the Gombault family. Today, it is owned by the Chasseuil family who had a long-term lease with Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix who managed their property and exclusively sold their wines. In 2000, they were able to take control once more and have used all of their energy and financial sources to reinvigorate the château and increase the quality, by cutting back yields from 60 hl/ha to between 21-40. The results have been exemplary, as the property has now come into its stride. The 2011, a trickier vintage in Bordeaux, received a notable 91-93 points from Robert Parker who further described the domaine as "one of the better wines of Pomerol".
