A blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Feytit Clinet sports a deep garnet-purple color. The nose boasts bold Black Forest cake, blackberry compote and plum preserves notes with nuances of chocolate box, violets and fallen leaves. The full-bodied palate has a gorgeous texture of plush, fine-grained tannins and plenty of zing lifting the decadent black fruit flavors, finishing long and savory. It is quite delicious now, but I'd give it another year or two in bottle to really impress.<br/>

Château Feytit-Clinet
A quiet, discreet 6-hectare estate that is located close to Clinet, Latour à Pomerol and Clos L'Eglise, Château Feytit-Clinet is a family owned property that experienced a re-birth in recent times. The earliest recorded history dates from 1825, when it was owned by the Gombault family. Today, it is owned by the Chasseuil family who had a long-term lease with Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix who managed their property and exclusively sold their wines. In 2000, they were able to take control once more and have used all of their energy and financial sources to reinvigorate the château and increase the quality, by cutting back yields from 60 hl/ha to between 21-40. The results have been exemplary, as the property has now come into its stride. The 2011, a trickier vintage in Bordeaux, received a notable 91-93 points from Robert Parker who further described the domaine as "one of the better wines of Pomerol".
