There's black licorice, coffee bean and ripe fruit on the nose. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a wonderful concentration of ripe fruit and currant. Shows tar and vanilla on the finish. Best after 2013. 16,665 cases made. –JS .

Château Belgrave
Included as a fifth growth in the 1855 Classification thanks to the quality of its deep gravel soil, Château Belgrave has been managed by the négociant firm, Dourthe since 1979. Found in the Saint-Laurent commune, right on the border with Saint-Julien, Belgrave is home to 60 hectares of vines. Planted to a single block, Belgrave has some of the greatest terroirs in the Médoc. Thanks to in-depth modernization and expert care in the vineyards and the cellar, Château Belgrave is now among the elite of Médoc great growths.
