The 2005 Nenin is a pleasant, chunky, monolithic style of Pomerol, with excellent density, purity, and earthy, spicy blackcurrant and black cherry fruit. The tannins are well-integrated and the wine should easily last another 10-20 years.

Château Nenin
Château Nenin stands as one of the grandest properties in Pomerol, lying on the outskirts of the Catusseau village. The property is home to 25 hectares of vineyards and a beautiful 19th century château. Since 1997, the estate has been owned by the Delon family of châteaux Léoville Las Cases and Potensac. The wine is a blend of mostly Merlot with smaller parts of Cabernet Franc (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%). Aged in 50% new oak barrels for 18 months, Nenin is a deep, fruit-forward red. The famed Michel Rolland also consults for the château.
