Like drinking a fruit cocktail. This tasty Riesling presents a mix of tropical fruit, citrus and mineral in a smooth, yet fresh, profile. It's balanced and seamless, with concentrated flavors that linger nicely on the aftertaste. Drink now through 2020. 5 cases imported. –BS

Based in the hilly countryside of Hügelland in Germany, close to Flörsheim-Dalsheim, the Keller family produces exceptional wines. Established in 1789 by Klaud Keller, the estate is now run by his son, Klaus-Peter and his wife, Julia. Although situated in the Rheinhessen, one of the more criticized winemaking regions, the Kellers continue to take their wines to new heights, through careful vineyard and cellar work. Despite the region’s misgivings, this estate has become one of Germany’s greatest producers in less than a decade. In addition to hard work, the key of Keller wines is the terroir – marl and limestone soil. The family’s holdings consist of 16 hectares, and about 70 percent of these are classified Grosses Gewächs (Grand Cru). Producing an impressive range of wines, including dry, off-dry and noble-styled Rieslings, the family also produces several Pinots, Silvaners, Rieslaners and Scheurebes. Jancis Robinson notes, “If I had to choose one wine to show how great dry German Riesling can be I would choose a Keller Riesling. Those wines are the German Montrachets.” The best bottlings deserve some aging.
