Founded in 1765 by Irish man, Richard Hennessy, this estate represents one of the world’s largest and finest Cognac houses. Highly acclaimed, Hennessy produces a wide range of cognacs, from VS to XO and their ultra-chic Richard Hennessy cuvée. Today, the Hennessy brand falls under the LVMH luxury group umbrella. The estate is based in southwestern France, in the town of Charente. At Hennessy cognacs are not made, but created and “raised with kindness and attention, firmness and affection”. These exceptional cognacs begin in the vineyard, Hennessy selects only the very best Ugni Blanc grapes from four Grand Cru regions of the AOC: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois. Hennessy also boasts one of the largest reserves of cognac eaux-de-vie in the world, with over 350,000 French oak casks aging in the cellars. ​
