The 2020 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is another brilliant effort from Fèvre's immensely able winemaker, Didier Seguier, and his team. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of confit citrus, fresh bread, oyster shell, orange zest and crisp orchard fruit, it's full-bodied, satiny and muscular, with a concentrated, tensile profile and a long, intensely saline finish. It's the broadest and most powerful wine in the range, while remaining quintessentially Chablisien.

Producer
Domaine William Fèvre
The renowned estate of William Fèvre was first created in 1959, with only 7 hectares of vineyards. William came from a family with a long history in the Chablis region, therefore it was only natural that he became a winemaker. Over time the estate grew, adding vineyards found in the historic terroirs of Chablis. Before William went into retirement in 1998, the domaine totaled over 48 hectares. He sold his namesake domaine to the Joseph Henriot Champagne House, who had also bought Bouchard Père & Fils several years' earlier in 1995. They reduced the amount of new oak barrels to create a style of wine more in-line with traditional Chablis estates. Starting in 2008, they began farming some of their vineyards organically and unlike many Chablis domaines, all of their grapes, including their Village Chablis are hand-picked. Today, William Fèvre in one of the largest land owners in Chablis, with 78 hectares of respected vineyards, of which almost 16 are classified as Premiers Crus and close to 15 as Grand Crus.
