93 Robert Parker
The 2006 Richebourg bursts from the glass with generous, plush fruit. It is a surprisingly massive, concentrated wine, yet all of the elements come together nicely in the glass. The finish is deep and persistent. This is another hugely successful 2006 from Bernard Gros. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2031.

79 Wine Spectator
Smells more like a 2003, with plum, stewed fruit and chocolate notes. Yet the tannins taste green, and the finish is astringent, leaving an awkward impression overall. 20 cases imported. –BS

Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur
Located in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur is part of the intricate group of estates owned by the Gros family. Though the name and vineyards come from Gustave and Collette Gros, it has been managed by their nephew, Bernard Gros since 1984. As a smaller domaine, even for Burgundian standards, the family possesses slightly more than 5 hectares of vines which are dispersed over 4 Grand Crus - Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, Grands-Echézeaux and Echézeaux. The family does not shy away from new oak, therefore their wines tend to be spicy and polished with notable concentration.
