Brivio / Delea / Gialdi / Tamborini. Trinken - 2025. (September 2013)

Representing the best Merlots of Ticino, Quattromani meaning Four Hands, is a unique concept thought up by four friends, whom also just happen to be some of the top wine-producers in Switzerland. The wine is a blend of four Merlots, consisting of equal parts; there is Guido Brivio’s characteristic Merlot from his Mendrisiotto site, with the structured harmony of Claudio Tamborini’s Luganese grapes, complemented by Angelo Delea’s Locarnese elegant fruit, which is balanced by Feliciano Gialdi’s finesse, coming from his Tre Valli red. Only the best portions are chosen and then vinified by the producers, aging the juice for over 16 months in barriques, the wine is then frequently racked for lees, allowing the wine to be bottled without fining, filtration or other stabilizations. The Merlot blend lingers on the palate making a great finish to an already well-bodied rich wine. Guido Brivio Owner of Brivio Vini, one of Ticino’s top winemaking companies, Guido Brivio aims to craft refined, sophisticated wines while at the same time, guarantees only the best products to his consumers.
