Mittleres Gelb. Faszinierendes Bouquet, vie Kamille, Kräutertee, gekochte Mirabellen, reife Ananas. Im Gaumen dick, schwer und reich, aber irgendwie fast zu viel Süsse im Verhältnis zur Säure zeigend, wahrlich ein Likör.

This is so thick and dense, with an ultrarich palate of dried lemon, apple pie and toffee. Full and spicy, yet not overly sweet. Very powerful and long. Blockbuster comes to mind. Best after 2014. –JS

Tasted single blind against its peers. There is a little sulphur on the nose of the Sigalas-Rabaud 2007. It comes across as quite tight at the moment but it possesses good definition with touches of guava and dried pineapple. The palate is medium-bodied with a fine spicy entry, quite cohesive with honey, ginger and a touch of marmalade. With good length and persistency towards the finish, this is a very fine, mid-weight Sauternes. Tasted January 2011.
