Aromas of blackcurrants, lavender, gravel, dried leaves, spice box and bitter chocolate. It’s full-bodied with firm, well integrated tannins. Creamy and succulent with a solid core of ripe fruit and a long, caressing finish. Grows on the palate. Try from 2025.

Château Pédesclaux
Perhaps one of Pauillac’s least well-known estates, Château Pédesclaux is a gifted classified Médoc growth. Just forty-five years after the estate was founded by wine trader Pierre-Urbain Pédesclaux, the château was ranked as a 5ème Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 Classification. While the estate’s title ultimately became Pierre-Urbain’s namesake, the property, however, went through several owners before landing in the hands of Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009. By 2013, Emmanuel Cruse joined the Pédesclaux team as managing director - further accentuating the estate’s new modern approach. The renovation of the château and winemaking facilities in 2015, along with the impeccable vineyard management, the estate has seen a true boom in quality. The Pauillac château produces a wine as complex as its terroir. The Grand Vin Château Pédesclaux is a dense Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc blend created in a charming style with an even more attractive edge.
