92 Robert Parker
The 2016 La Louviere Blanc features loads of lime, lemons and yuzu on the nose with wet pebbles and blanched almonds in the background. The palate is medium-bodied, crisp and zesty with great poise and length.

A light lemon sherbet thread cuts through a core of white peach and straw flavors, ending with a flash of verbena. Nice length and cut.—J.M.

Château La Louvière
Nestled in Bordeaux’s winemaking cradle, Château La Louvière can be found in Pessac-Léognan, just several kilometers from the city. Benefiting from a long vinous history of over seven centuries, the current château was built by Jean-Baptiste Mareilhac during the French Revolution. By 1965 the neoclassical château was purchased by André Lurton, who worked to restore the estate’s former glory. Terroir-based vineyard management, environmentally-friendly viticultural practices, and traditional winemaking methods coupled with the judicious use of modern techniques enable La Louvière to produce dry white and red wines of great character.
