One of the best properties in the Margaux appellation, Château Ferrière owes its name to the original owners, the Ferrière family, who owned the Bordeaux estate in the mid-1700s to the early 1900s. Within that time, the château was included in the 1855 Médoc Classification, ranking as a Third Growth, emphasizing the excellence behind this smaller producer. The Villars family arrived in 1988, taking the following decades to reinvest in the property, improving the château’s already high-quality standards.
