Smoky and silky, with enticing black tea, mulled spice and fleshy plum and black currant fruit that melds nicely together through the tobacco-filled finish. Drink now through 2019. 6,000 cases made. — JM

Today, the 12-hectare property has been completed converted to biodynamic farming, receiving their Organic Agriculture Certification in 2015. Claire Villars Lurton continues as the driving force behind Château Ferrière, producing rich, intense, and concentrated wines. With minimal fining and malolactic fermentation in barrel, the estate’s top claret, Ferrière is aged for sixteen to eighteen months in 60% new oak resulting in a refined and impressive red
