19/20 2020 – 2040

The 2015 Doisy-Daene has a detailed bouquet, very correct, nothing showy or flamboyant as is typical of Denis Dubourdieu's Barsac. The palate is extremely well balanced and very pure: citrus fruit infusing the honeyed botrytis, veins of white peach and quince, leading to a very precise and sustained finish that leaves you with a smile on your face...and the wine ain't even finished yet! Just a wonderful wine - full of class and nascent joie-de-vivre. Chapeau Denis!

Château Doisy-Daëne
Château Doisy-Daëne, included amongst the Second Growths in the 1855 Classification, is located on the Barsac limestone plateau in the Sauternes appellation. It has belonged to the Dubourdieu family since 1924. Four generations have made fine white wines here from father to son: Georges (1924-1948), Pierre (1949-1999) and Denis Dubourdieu since the 2000 vintage – assisted by his sons, Fabrice and Jean-Jacques. The family is committed to defending and promoting Doisy-Daëne's image around the world. Denis Dubourdieu is also a professor of oenology at Bordeaux University and an internationally renowned consultant. Château Doisy-Daëne's 17.2 hectares of vines (87% Sémillon and 13% Sauvignon Blanc) are over 40 years old. The wines have their own special style, with bright fruit concentrated by "noble rot" as well as lively acidity, excellent balance, and delicate flavors. Doisy-Daëne's much-appreciated personality reflects both its excellent limestone terroir and a long family tradition of quality.
