90 Robert Parker
The 2016 Cap de Faugeres (composed of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon) has a medium garnet-purple color and reveals notions of warm plums, blackberry pie and black raspberries with touches of pencil shavings and sautéed herbs. Medium-bodied with a velvety texture and good core of black fruits, it finishes on a long-lasting earthy note.
90 Wine Spectator
This is racy and fresh, showing a beam of loganberry and red currant coulis flavors driving along, laced with subtle savory detail and tobacco and iron notes. The racy finish is carried by mouthwatering acidity. Drink now through 2028. 10,000 cases made. — JM

Château Cap de Faugères
The Faugères property lies within 2 appellations - Saint-Émilion (Château Faugères) and Côtes de Castillon, the latter is named Château Cap de Faugères. A notable 31 hectares in size, Cap de Faugères is owned by Silvio Denz, a Swiss entrepreneur who bought the property in 2005 and has since invested heavily in it, despite already having a good reputation in terms of wine quality. The vineyards are planted with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker has referred to their wines as "always one of the top Côtes de Castillons".
