Beau-Site has an 18th century underground cellar, which is one of the oldest in the Médoc. It is reputed to have had a notable reputation in the mid-19th century and maybe could have been classified in 1855, but its then owners supposedly were not bothered to submit samples for the tasting. It was acquired by the Castejà family (owners of multiple châteaux including Batailley and Lynch-Moussas) after the frost of 1956, and they subsequently replanted the whole vineyard. In addition to their flagship eponymous wine, they produce a second wine, Château Haut-Vignoble Seguin.
