Château Larteau
One of Bordeaux’s best-value wines, Château Larteau boasts a long history, dating back to the late 18th century. Jean-Pierre Angliviel bought the estate in 2007, and today, his family continues to follow the advice of François Despagne, who was hired in 2001 as the estate’s consulting oenologist. The property is home to a single 16-hectare plot, of which 12 are planted to vines along the Dordogne River, close to Saint-Émilion. The cellar is equipped with state-of-the-art technology ensuring the quality of the vinification process. The estate produces one eponymously named wine, Château Larteau, which is made with 90% to 100% Merlot, and is a classic, fruity Bordeaux Supérieur.
