18/20 2016 - 2027. (September 2013)

Gialdi Wines SA was founded in 1953 by Guglielmo Gialdi and is currently directed by his son Feliciano. Dedicated only to the wine business in the beginning, the company saw a turning point in 1984 when Feliciano decided to buy a winery located in the Bassa Leventina and began producing wines from Ticino. Thanks to significant and continuous investment in the cellars of Mendrisio and Bodio, today Gialdi Wines - which also controls companies Brivio (since 2001) and Zamberlani (since 2006) - vinifies a total of nearly one million kilos of grapes per year. In fact all the grapes coming from the Sopraceneri area are vinificated by Gialdi, and all grapes coming from Sottoceneri region by Brivio. Built against the mountain, they take advantage of these air currents that circulate within the massif of Monte Generoso ensuring a stable temperature throughout the year and an ideal climate for wine ageing.
