This rich red is saturated with cherry, raspberry and plum flavors, accented by mineral and spice notes. Vibrant and frank, offering a long, mouthwatering finish and fine character. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Best from 2016 through 2024

The 2010 Villa Antinori (a blend of 55% Sangiovese and diminishing amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah) boasts a dark, concentrated color with soft layers of dark fruit, chocolate mocha, baking spice and pipe tobacco. It’s an easy-drinking, cheerful red, available at a reasonable price, with the fleshy roundness to pair with simple beef or pork recipes. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2019.
Producer
Antinori-Villa Antinori
The Antinori family has been producing wine for over six centuries and today, they are responsible for some of the finest Italian wines we all know and love. Villa Antinori was originally created in 1928 by Marquis Niccolò Antinori and it now stands as the family’s flagship wine. The aim of this wine was to produce the first Chianti bottling that would get better with time. In 2001, Villa Antinori was promoted to the IGT category. Marquis Niccolò Antinori’s son, Piero actually decided to carry out this promotion in order to blend the greatest grapes coming from various Antinori properties in Tuscany. Villa Antinori, represents Antinori’s presence in the region through one luscious, hearty red. The resulting wine is made up of principally Sangiovese with small additions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, depending on the vintage.
