Eine kleine Ernte mit nur 7 hl/ha. Etwa 35'000 Flaschen. 2026 – 2070

Candied citrus and pineapple drizzled with acacia honey is how this smells and tastes, and the wine is rich and creamy with excellent concentration. Powerful and flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

The Château Troplong Mondot 2014 is a stylish wine this year. The nose is well defined and elegant with pure blackberry and red plum fruit, fine mineralité and poise here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, grainy tannin and well-integrated oak. There is a touch of dark chocolate coming through on the finish, but it is lightly sprinkled over the fresh black fruit that possess less fatness than recent vintage, but in my opinion allow the terroir to be expressed. This is a fine Troplong Mondot that should drink well over 15 to 20 years. (Incidentally, another sample was showing not quite as well, but I have used my note taken from the UGC poured by someone at the property). <br/>The Château Troplong Mondot 2014 is a stylish wine this year. On the flamboyant side, with mango and guava flavors out front, followed by hints of creamed pear and fig. The lush finish is coated with almond cream and toasted coconut notes. Best from 2020 through 2035. 3,417 cases made.

Despite a challenging year, half of the crop was lost due to an invasion of Drosophila suzukii, the 2014 Suduiraut is showing very well today, evoking aromas of pineapple, baked white fruits, ripe orchard fruits, lemon and spices. Moderately weighted, layered and round, it’s perfectly balanced with an elegant, fresh mid-palate that is long and ethereal on the finish. This blend of 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc, matured for 18 months in 50% in new oak and 50% in one-year-old barrels, was picked in four tries between September 12 and October 30 with a tiny yield of seven hectoliters per hectare.
