Cognac Exception XO Lot 29
70cl
Renowned for their irresistible reds produced by their Bordeaux estates, Château Pontet-Canet and Château Lafon-Rochet, the Tesseron family was originally an established Cognac household. Created in 1905 by Abel Tesseron, the company was initially situated in Châteauneuf-sur-Charante. Today, the Tesseron Cognac brand is followed by Abel’s grandson, Alfred Tesseron of Pontet-Canet. Uniquely, the family labels their “classic” Cognacs with “lot” numbers, these lots represent blends that are taken from their reserves. Four Limousin-oak aged Cognacs are produced: No. 90, created in a youthful style from a blend of 10-year-old brandies; No.76 which is aged for over ten years; followed by No. 53 that is aged for over twenty years; and lastly, No. 29 which fittingly is matured for three generations. Each bottle is a truly fascinating example of Cognac, the small-scale production adds to their appeal.
