Lodovico Antinori is the brilliant force behind these two estates, Tenuta di Biserno and Campo di Sasso. The wines coming from these properties have been built on Lodovico’s ability to foresee a terroir’s true potential. Focus and determination has led to the production of his unrivaled wines. Icons of quality and prestige, the Antinori’s also produce Insoglio del Cinghiale, meaning the Wild Boar’s Pond, at Campo di Sasso. As Biserno’s neighboring estate, Campo di Sasso was established in the mid-1990s and consists of three different parcels of vineyards lying between Bibbona and Bolgheri. Named after a 19th century painting, the estate’s landscape still depicts a similar picturesque and authentic Tuscan scene. The sandy soils of Campo di Sasso, combined with its warmer, low-lying property comes together as the perfect spot to grow Syrah – covering about one-third of their vineyards. A blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, Insoglio del Cinghiale is a fruited, forward red that is genuine – showing its personality in every sip.
