The d’Alessandro family undertook the ambitious task of completely restructuring their estate situated in the relative viticultural wilderness of eastern Tuscany. More than 50 hectares were planted primarily to Syrah, with some Chardonnay and Viognier - all at high densities for Tuscany (7,000 vines per hectare). Brothers Massimo and Francesco have been fastidious about producing the highest quality fruit from low yields.
