Schloss Saarstein

Producing some of the top wines in the Saar, Schloss Saarstein was purchased by the Ebert family in 1956. Today, second generation, Christian Ebert manages this splendid 10-hectare estate. Situated, for the most part, on the Serriger Schloss Saarsteiner vineyard, the steep slopes provide an essential protection for the vines. This area of the Mosel is distinguished by the winding Saar River, that gives Schloss Saarstein’s wines their unique character. The resulting wines are best known for their refreshing style and vibrant acidity, Ebert crafts wonderfully balanced Kabinett and Spätlese wines, as well as an excellent Eiswein.
