Pointillart-Leroy Champagnes are a sum of numerous life stories. The house’s history stems from the late 19th century, beginning with the great-great-grandparents of Juliette Pointillart. After a rather detailed and trying background, the house as we know it today, was born out of the union of two families, the Pointillarts and the Leroys. The marriage of Jacqueline Leroy and Jean-Louis Pointillart in 1976 gave birth to the one of the region’s most thought-provoking brands: Champagne Pointillart-Leroy. Today, the property is managed by their daughter, Juliette Pointillart. The 5-hectare property spans across three neighboring villages in the Montage de Reims: Écueil, Chamery and Vrigny. Each of these appellations fall under the most sought after Premier Cru classifications, consisting of 22 separate parcels of vineyards. Producing a range of five wines, each more unique than the next, one thing remains constant: the founding philosophy of the family is revealed vintage after vintage with elegance and fineness.
