Today, this biodiverse plot is still looked after by Vittorio, however his wife, Adriana Assjè di Marcorà and their talented oenologist son, Juriji Fiore manage the day-to-day responsibilities. Poggio Scalette produces a handful of incredible reds. A Chianti Classico named Il Carbonaione, which is a Bordeaux-styled pure Sangiovese made from the properties oldest vines. Then there is the plush Merlot labeled Piantonaia. And their newest release, Capogatto, which is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
