97 James Suckling
This is a tight and powerful Orma with solid tannins that beautifully frame the fruit in the wine. Full-bodied and focused with intense structure and fruit character. Perhaps the best Orma ever. Give this four or five years to open. Try after 2025.
95 Robert Parker
A blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Orma opens to a soothing display of ripe fruit with blackberry, candied cherry, spice, white pepper and even a speck of red chili flake. The mouthfeel is round and soft with a pop of sour cherry. The vineyards are planted in soils rich in pebbles and clay with a little sand at 60 meters above sea level. Some 34,000 bottles were produced.

Podere Orma
One wine, one single estate. Orma is the name of both the monumental Italian estate, and their only wine in production. Along Tuscany’s prestigious coast, the Bolgheri village is home to this small 5.5-hectare estate. Similarly owned by the Moretti family of Tenuta Sette Ponti, the Orma property was purchased in 1996 by Arezzo-born entrepreneur, Antonio Moretti. The perfect balance between power and finesse, Orma reflects the Bolgheri terroir and style with its undeniable enthusiastic spirit. This legendary red is a classic Bordeaux blend of 50% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, which will impress even the most skeptical critics. The rich, concentrated, and most of all, elegant Orma is an emblematic wine, ranking amongst Italy’s best – Sassicaia and Ornellaia. Orma is without a doubt a leading figure on the Tuscan wine front.
