Noon Winery
Noon Winery is a small family-owned business that concentrates on full-bodied reds with minimal processing. Originally founded by David Noon in 1976, his son, Drew and his wife, Raegan returned to take over the family winery in Langhorne Creek, a sub-region of Adelaide, in October of 1996. The Noon Winery property is home to about 4 hectares of estate grown bush vine Grenache vineyards which were planted in 1934 (the home block) and 1943 (B.J.'s block), with another 1.5 hectares planted in 1999, mainly to Graciano. The Shiraz and Cabernet vineyards are owned by friends, the Borrett Family, in Langhorne Creek. Working with small vineyard blocks allows the family to focus on quality and hand-made wines as opposed to quantity. The Noon Winery produces a series of red wines, one rosé, two fortified wines and no whites. Noon Eclipse is their signature red produced from Grenache, Shiraz, Graciano and Cabernet (though prior to the 2008 vintage, it was produced with only Grenache (65%) and Shiraz (35%).
