Leflaive Domaine & Associes

Named after its significant holdings in the village of Vougeot, this fine Burgundy domaine is owned by Jean-Claude Boisset and located outside of Nuits St. Georges in Prémeaux. The domaine was pieced together from the various vineyard holdings that Boisset had acquired throughout the years. Pascal Marchard, the former winemaker of Domaine des Epeneaux in Pommard, was placed in charge of winemaking in 1999. His style was to produce big, more modern wines with lots of structure and colour. He was replaced in 2005 by Pierre Vincent who brought in a more delicate touch. The domaine owns an impressive amount of vineyards, which produce over 30 wines. For the past several years, they have been a star that continues to ascend.
