La Poderina

Situated in the Castelnuovo dell’Abate area of Montalcino, La Poderina winery is part of the bigger, Tenute del Cerro SpA, which is owned by one of Europe’s largest insurance companies. La Poderina was founded in 1988 and today, the estate consists of about 50 hectares, 20 of which are planted to vines. Focused on the revival of the region’s famed red wine - Brunello, La Poderina’s vines are located in the southwestern part of Montalcino, and are planted predominantly to Sangiovese. The resulting wines are elegant yet dense, with an unrivaled balance.
