Considered as an empire in Barolo, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli represents one of the oldest producers in the Langhe region. This archaic estate has a history that dates back to the 1760s. In fact, this estate may also have been the first in Barolo to bottle their wines in the 1800s. Today, it is home to 20 hectares of the best vineyards found in the Crus of Cannubi, Liste, Rue, Fossati and San Pietro. Dedicated to provide wine-lovers with well-aged Barolos, the Borgogno estate is particularly famous for their extensive library collection of older vintages. In 2008 the property was sold to the Farinetti family who promises to preserve the Borgogno family’s legacy.
