Based in Ribeira Sacra, Spain’s most up-and-coming appellations, Dominio do Bibei is a rather new and authentic producer. Known for its steeply sloped and terraced vineyards, Ribeira Sacra lies in the northeastern end of the larger region, Galicia. The estate is home to 45 hectares of vineyards, planted to a majority of reds, like Mencía, Garnacha, Brancellao and Mouraton, but also a bit of white varieties as well, Godello, Doña Blanca and Albariño. The head winemaker, Javier Domínguez successfully crafts modern wines from this incredible terroir and traditional grape varieties with the added assistance from Priorat icons, Sara Pérez and René Barbier.
