Domaine Henri Boillot
Previously named Jean Boillot, the estate is now known by the name of Domaine Henri Boillot. It was changed in 2005 when Henri bought out both his brother and sister, he wanted to distinguish himself from his brother's domaine, Jean-Marc Boillot. The Boillots have been grape growers in the region since 1885 and Henri (along with his siblings) is the 5th generation. His son, Guillaume, has been working alongside him since 2006 when he finished viticulture and oenology school. The domaine currently owns 19 hectares which are divided between white (mostly 1er Crus in Meursault and Puligny) and red appellations (Savigny, Beaune and Volnay). The domaine also owns a négociant side to the business which was started in 1995 and expanded in 2000. The wines are of excellent repute and are 90% white from the main Côte de Beaune vineyards but they also offer three grand crus from the Côte de Nuits - Clos Vougeot (from the Grand Maupertuis lieu-dit), Charmes-Chambertin and Le Chambertin.
