Domaine Bachelet-Ramonet

Domaine Bachelet-Ramonet is an off-shoot of the original Ramonet family. Claude Ramonet, the original member of the family who left Bresse to settle in Beaune, had three children. One of them, Pierre, founded Domaine Ramonet, while his daughter married Georges Bachelet, creating the domaine Bachelet-Ramonet. Today the domaine is run by Alain Bonnefoy with his wife Marie-Paule and son Arnaud. Located in Chassagne-Montrachet with 13 hectares of vines the property covers multiple appellations. In recent years, they have embraced the principle that 'less is more' and have moved into the direction of more natural grape growing and using less new oak for ageing.
