Château Plantey
Located in the Pauillac appellation, Château Plantey is a lesser-known Cru Bourgeois owned by Claude Meffre. The wine is usually a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate is comprised of 27 hectares which produce approximately 80,000 bottles per year. The property is home to sand and gravel soils, while its vines are approximately 30-years-old. Famed wine critic, Robert Parker described the 2010 Plantey as "a sleeper of the vintage", making it an excellent value in this Cru Classé sub-region.
