Established in 1851, by a 29-year-old Charles-Camille Heidsieck, the House of Charles Heidsieck, remains one of the greatest Champagne producers in France. From the beginning, Charles-Camille was a visionary in the field, always driven by his ambition to produce the highest-quality Champagnes. Based in Reims, the house’s famous 11th century chalk cellars or crayères are known as the perfect atmosphere for aging, and are one of five in all of Champagne. Following in the talented footsteps of Daniel Thibaut, Régis Camus and Thierry Roset, today’s Cellar Master, Cyril Brun, dedicates himself to perpetuating the true “Charles style”. He describes that “Charles’ wines are a vehicle for emotion, champagnes that speak more to your soul than just your nose and palate”. Along with Charles’s classic style, the wines are more than age-worthy, insuring decades of cellaring.
