Château Vieux Robin

This 18.5-hectare estate has been owned by the Roba family since the 18th century. Current owner, Maryse Roba and her husband began running the estate in 1988 and are helped by their son, Olivier. Dynamic and forward thinking, Maryse has worked extra-hard to help her smaller estate. She has tried to propel her fine wines by working with artists on her wine labels and hosting art shows. Much of the vineyard lies in a single parcel near the house, with the remaining found just 3 kilometers away with soils as diverse as gravel, sand and clay-limestone. Harvesting is done both manually and by machine, with lots of careful sorting. They produce two wines - their straight blend that is aged in seasoned barrels, as well as Bois de Lunier, a wine produced from older vines which is aged in 40% new French oak casks.
