Piercing and racy in feel for now, with Key lime and Meyer lemon notes turning fuller through the finish, accented by honeysuckle and peach hints. Should put on a little weight in the cellar. Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle. Drink now through 2020.

The Blanc de Lynch Bages 2014 is a blend of 52% Sauvignon Blanc, 28% Sémillon and 20% Muscadelle raised in 45% new wood. It has a crisp, fresh pear and green apple-scented bouquet, the oak neatly disguised. The palate has a twist of bitter lemon on the entry, with good weight in the mouth and is lively and quite spicy toward the finish with a touch of lemongrass on the aftertaste. Not bad at all. <br/>

Château Lynch Bages
Overlooking the Gironde estuary, Château Lynch-Bages is located on the outskirts of Pauillac, on the Plateau de Bages, one of the most beautiful gravelly rises in the appellation. The estate formerly belonged to the Lynch family, originally from Ireland, and was purchased by Jean-Charles Cazes in 1934. Starting in the 80’s, Jean-Michel Cazes undertook an in-depth modernization of Lynch-Bages, while preserving the former 19th century vat room. This a area is a rare example of traditional winemaking equipment that was used in Médoc many years ago. In 2006, Jean-Michel handed over management to his son Jean-Charles, and took on the project of breathing new life into the adjacent Village de Bages. The wines of Lynch-Bages reflect the family tradition of generosity and excellence. Lynch-Bages combines structure, finesse and elegance, offering generous aromas in its youth and developing deeper complexities with bottle age. The second wine, Echo de Lynch-Bages is round, soft and seductive in its youth, with outstanding potential for bottle age. The estate also produces a fine Bordeaux white, Blanc de Lynch-Bages, which is a lively and crisp wine with fresh fruits and white flower aromas that dance with delicate woody and vanilla notes.
