Château Haut Condissas
Since 1995, the 5-hectare Château Haut Condissas has been owned by Jean Guyon, a well-known proprietor who also owns Rollan de By, Tour Seran, La Clare and Greysac, one of the most famous Cru Bourgeois. Prior to Jean Guyon's purchase, the estate was heavily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, but due to its dominant clay soils, the plantings were reversed and now, Merlot (80%) has become the most prevailing variety followed by Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Petit Verdot (10%). The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and is then aged in 100% new oak barrels - 90% French and 10% American.
