Château Haut-Guiraud
Overlooking the estuary of the Gironde and the vistas of Côtes de Bourg is Château Haut-Guiraud. Since 1876, five generations of winemakers and coopers have transmitted their knowledge to Christophe Bonnet, the current owner who succeeded his father Jean. This 30-hectare estate combines typical soils consisting of calcareous clay, sandy loam and clayey gravel and produce the best Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec possible. The grapes are picked by hand and machine, while its winemaking facilities offer all of the modern amenities. In the end, Château Haut-Guiraud wines retain an old world charm.
