It was love at first sight when a group of friends led by Baron François de Gunzburg visited Château Greysac in 1973. Supported by the IFINT group (presided by Giovanni Agnelli), they ended up buying the estate. Greysac has made remarkable progress since then, and was accepted as a member of the very select Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux in 1982. Produced from an outstanding terroir with one of the finest gravelly rises in the hamlet of By, Château Greysac is elegant, extremely well-structured, full-bodied, flavorsome, and voluptuous. The wine is carefully fermented in the traditional way, and standards for the final blend are so rigorous that the grand vin rarely represents more than 70% of total production. Château Greysac is marketed worldwide via a network of exclusive agents and sold via the traditional wine trade.
