Château Franc-Maillet is a small property found in the Pomerol appellation. Made up of approximately 6 hectares, the estate produces both Franc-Maillet and their préstige label, Cuvée Jean-Baptiste. Franc-Maillet is produced from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc on silice-gravel soil. It remains on the skins for a total of 30 days before being aged in French oak barrels - 70% new. Cuvée Jean Baptiste comes from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc grown on clay soils. It is then aged in 100% new French oak barrels.
