Würziges, eher diskretes Bouquet, rote Pflaumen, Zedernholz und heller Tabak. Im Gaumen festes Extrakt, aufsteigende Adstringenz, im Fluss feinsandige Körner zeigend. Wie immer ein klassischer, trocken anmutender Wein der wohl erst mit der Flaschenreife zeigt, was in ihm stecken wird. warten (2016 - 2028)88 Robert ParkerThis dark ruby-colored 2007 possesses aromas of plum sauce, berry fruit, juicy black currants, and a hint of herbs. It is an attractive, mid-weight, fleshy wine with good purity and depth. Enjoy it over the next decade.87 Wine SpectatorDisplays blackberry and mulberry, with fresh vanilla bean aromas. Today, the estate is run by Gonzague Lurton, son of Lucien Lurton, who purchased the property in 1961. Gonzague has breathed new life into the château with his knowledge of the terroir and sustainable viticulture practices. The wines for the most part have a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, most times the highest in the southern Médoc. The resulting wines are fruit-forward with sizable tannins and structure.
